Personal profile

This website is a compilation of my professional and academic work, interests and a reflection of my worldview. Having studied and worked in three continents, I have gained relevant experience in a wide range of cultures and context, picked up more than a smattering of languages and established a network of friends and professional contacts across the globe - I have tried to include a vignette of places visited and experienced.

I received an undergraduate degree in architecture from the School of Architecture, CEPT, Ahmedabad, India in 1996. As an undergraduate student, I was selected for a scholarship exchange program at ETH, Zurich in April 1993. Besides the academic semester, I gained professional experience with an architectural firm in Zurich as well as travelled extensively in Europe. After graduation I worked as an assistant architect with Mandala Design Services, Ahmedabad from 1996-1998 and am a registered architect with the Council of Architecture, India.

I enrolled in the Masters of Urban Development and Design program at the University of New South Wales, Sydney in July 1998. After my postgraduate studies, I have been working as an urban designer with Dickson Rothschild Architects and DesignInc Sydney, both established urban design and architecture firms in Sydney.

My professional experience includes active involvement in a major urban housing project in India as well as other residential projects. More recently I have worked in a varied range of urban design projects in Australia including development control plans, public domain improvements, town centres, urban design controls & master plans and evaluation of transport corridors.
