The project design team of Mandala Design Services and Prof. Kurula Varkey was led by renowned architect B V Doshi. Project responsibility involved active participation from conceptual design through to execution and completion. cottage & landscape, berhampore Weekend cottage on riverfront property and associated landscape design for Mr S Bose, Berhampore. this design responded to the riverfront setting and the grid of existing teak trees. It worked with the elements of the riverine Bengal landscape and the 'bungalow' houseform. |

Density Housing, Long Jetty, NSW This residential project was in a seaside suburb in Central NSW; the project called for an appropriate response to council regulations on a maximum of 4 storey street frontages, overshadowing and privacy considerations and an irregular plot orientation. The sinuous forms simulate a perimeter block with a landscape courtyard within. The apartments are split level units and allows natural lighting and cross ventilation. Project responsibilities include design development from conceptual stages through to development application. |
